No Regrets

Silence hums in the air
As he slits his wrists
With a blade, his faithful companion
His only friend, his only support
Laying down in the silky arms
Of water, cradling him like a child
Water's gentle lullabies put him to sleep
As he watches the blood seep from his wrists
Tinting the water a bold crimson

Imprinting the absorbing colour
In his dwindling memory
He closes his eyes for the last time
With no regrets, no more lies.
